Joby reunites with choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and designer Bob Crowley to present their third full-length narrative ballet for The Royal Ballet, a co-commission with American Ballet Theatre based on Mexican author Laura Esquivel’s best-selling novel Like Water For Chocolate. The story centres on Tita, whose emotions and pain over her thwarted love for her childhood sweetheart Pedro infuse her exquisite cooking, with unpredictable consequences. The Orchestra of the Royal Opera House will be conducted in this first run of nine performances by Alondra de la Parra. Tickets and more information can be found here.
