Austin Opera presents three performances of Joby’s 2015 one-act opera Everest. Gene Scheer’s libretto relates the events of a tragic 1996 ascent of the mountain by a group of climbers of differing backgrounds and abilities. These performances feature original cast members Andrew Bidlack as Rob Hall, Kevin Burdette as Beck Weathers and Craig Verm as Doug Hansen; Jan Arnold is portrayed by Heather Johnson.
