Opus Arte, the Royal Opera House’s arts production and distribution company, have released
on DVD and Blu-Ray the Royal Ballet’s performance of Alice’s Adventures in
Wonderland, along with a half-hour documentary following the evolution of the ballet,
entitled Being Alice, both of which were originally broadcast on the BBC over the
Easter weekend.
The production, premiered on 28 February 2011, was received with pleasure both popular and
critical, and its infectious joy radiates even from a screen, though if you want to see the real
thing first, the production will be returning to the Royal Ballet in spring 2012.
