Joby’s arrangement of Purcell’s Chacony in G Minor will be given its world premiere by the BBC Symphony Orchestra at tomorrow’s Prom at the Royal Albert Hall. The Prom 41 programme, which commences at 7pm, is the recreation of the 1963 Prom conducted by Benjamin Britten, which featured his own arrangement of the Purcell work alongside his Cantata Misericordium, Sinfonia da Requiem and Spring Symphony.
